Lot of bugs, not useful, not cheap ...
After trying several golf applications, amongst which the most popular on iTunes, i decided that: - I am tired of downloading course mappings that have mistakes and it is not straightforward to correct them - i mostly play less than 10 courses regularly so i dont need 20000 mapped courses. If i play a new course I dont mind spending 5 mins to map it before playing (also good to familiarize with the layout) - I love statistics, and most applications are not really strong on this. In fact, they might have fancy things like camera scopes, etc, but then lack some basic statistical capabilities. With all that in mind, Golf My Rounds is quite an exceptional application. Extremely easy to map new courses, both the scorecard and the layout. Quick and responsive, easy to use and has loads of statistics to play with, including club shot statistics. Can share on Facebook and tweeter and has now a dropbox backup integration. Additionally has one of the best and most responsive support I have tried (they also emailed me when they included some of my suggestions in a new release of the app). Overall a great simple app, very functional and powerful at the same time. Highly recommended!
So, I have searched all over for a good app that I could use to begin tracking my shots, clubs used, typical distance, etc without needing a true gps app. I have a Garmin for that. I wanted something simple, useful, and somewhat flexible so that I could choose what and how much information I tracked. Well, I found it. After downloading several of the more popular apps with good ratings, I stumbled across "Golf My Rounds". At first I downloaded the free lite version because there were no ratings and I didnt want to shell out another $6.99 for a sucky app that didnt provide what I wanted. I played a 9 hole round with the app, was a little sketchy at first because I had to use a score card before the round to enter all of the course data, handicap, par, distances, etc. and then you have to map the course by selecting the tees and green. I will be honest, if you play a lot of different courses this process will be time consuming and you may get frustrated. But if you typically only play a few, it will totally be worth the time to do so. After entering all of the data for my home course, and mapping it, I went out and played and the app was quite impressive. But I kept finding that I wanted more, like shot tracking on the map, which requires the full version. So that evening I purchased the full version. I have since played several more rounds with the full version and the stats, maps, charts, and graphs that are available are awesome. I have not seen this level of information from any of the other golf apps and I love it. I use the app every time I go out and play and feel that the stats provide me with the information I need to improve my game. I have improved my handicap by 2 strokes since I started using this app and hope to be a 5 by the end of the summer. Before I go out to the range or play a round, I review the areas that I struggle with and work on those shots. I have found that this method of practice really works for me. And I have "Golf My Rounds" to thank. Try it and I promise you will like it.

Just installed this app which is the best app for keeping track of side games. I never realized the multitude and variety of side games. This is a global golf app so you get a preview of the handicap systems around the world. Every time I had a question or issue, the response was very quick and courteous. Impressed with the app and customer service.
